  • Natural wood for use in Aquarium tanks

    Mangrove wood is used to help your aquarium water by releasing tannins which promotes the well-being of fish and boosts plant growth. At the same time it inhibits the growth of algae.  Pieces of mangrove wood also supply some fish e.g plecos with vital fibre.  Is also used to reduce the PH level in the water. 

    Mangrove wood does cause discolouration of tank water due to the release of these tannins into the water and can be used to mimic natural fish environments.
